Fixed Some Stuff
|
|
March 29, 2010
I haven't looked at this site in forever. Unbelievably, it will turn 11 years old next month. Time flies. I noticed all the php was broken, and some other stuff, but I think it's all fixed now. I don't know how long the site has been like this, but it should be more readable now.
Reading over this site for the first time in years makes me wanna redesign it and do some updates, but I'm not so sure that will happen. I'm not too familiar with modern html, and I don't know if I even have anything else to say about the NES. Do people even visits websites like these anymore?
Anyway, hopefully the whole site doesn't break again for no reason.

This Site is Fucked Up
|
|
November 11, 2005
The whole site is pretty much down right now and I don't know why. All my php
files (which make up about 90% of the site) stopped working a couple weeks ago
and at the moment I have no idea how to fix this. Nothing was changed,
they all just stopped working one day. I contacted JT, the host of
smackdown gt, and he's not sure what's wrong either, so at the moment I'm not
sure what to do.
If you think you have a solution to my problem please send me an email.
Otherwise I'm not sure what tha smackdown's future is.

NES Resurgance

New Layout
I accidentally deleted the old page, so I'm putting the new look up early. I rewrote all the code to make it look normal in high res, and went ahead and changed up a few things while I was at. Thank god I used php to do the site or else this transition would be a nightmare. I still need to redo the look of some sections, and change a few colors here and there. I'll get it done.
Oh yeah, I did it all in notepad bitches.

Letter of the Moment
Finally beat that damn Karate Kid game. God that thing sucks. Punching is the most useless thing ever unless you have drum punches, and unless you have a crane kick, those guys with the spears will nearly kill you from eating your health bar alive.
The ending sucked too, but it was still worth it to see Mr. Miyagi's gay winking at the end. I guess the people who made this game were too afraid to put their names in for a credit screen, since they thought people would find out where they live and beat them up after they found out who they were.

What the fuck is Error?
|
|
August 17, 2004
Who is Error? If you don't know then you've obviously never visited www.nesplayer.com. Simply put, Error is an odd character in Zelda 2 that has gained cult like status thanks to Mike at NESplayer. When you speak to him in the game he replies "I am Error," which is a kinda odd thing to say. So what's the deal? Is it a programming mistake or is that just his name?
Well a viewer of the site (Alexander Ryan) decided to send Nintendo an email in hopes of an official answer. Here's what he got back:
Hi,
The character's name is "Error." It's not a programming mistake, but is the actual name of the character. I guess you could say that it's a joke done by one of the game's designers.
So that's their story, but who really knows. I imagine whoever answers these emails is not very high up on the Nintendo totem poll and probably just turned to the closest person to him for an answer.
