Back in like 1999 or early 2000 I was in a band with some friends who were just rediscovering Nintendo all over again thanks to the magic of emulation. One day Derek (lead guitar) and Rusty (drums), and I (rhythm guitar) were over at my house practicing when Derek said he knew how to play the level 2 (?) music from Double Dragon. He played it through and I was amazed since I had never heard video game music played on guitar before. He showed me the chords real fast and Rusty improvised on the drums and we recorded it on my computer in one try. We listened to it a few times then kinda forgot about it.

As I got more involved with mp3 sharing, the file leaked out onto the internet, and now can be found on most P2P server. Not that any of us mind though, it's cool to have our song out there for everyone to hear. Somewhere along the line the file was renamed from "blienks_band_plays_double_dragon.mp3" to something like "minibosses_dd.mp3" so we kinda lost credit for it, but oh well.

About two or three weeks after we recorded this song our band broke up.
