: bible adventures :
Bible Adventures was released by Wisdom Tree (Colordreams) in 1990.
Bible Adventures was an unlicensed game for the NES, but Nintendo
did not fight its release because of the game's
touchy subject matter. Bible Adventures, in my opinion, is a pretty sorry game.
The scrolling is horrible, the game play is simplistic, and the very idea of a
religious video game is frightening. Never the less, it's worth owning just
to say you have it. Bible Adventures earned a B+ on the NES rarity list, but is not all that
expensive. I found my copy at, eek, Funcoland for eight dollars.
The snazzy blue cart really makes it stand out. For some reason this game weighs
considerably less
than a normal NES game. This makes me wonder if it's missing something. The game
also has a few extra warnings on the back:
- Do not store in extreme temperatures
- Do not immerse in water
- Do not clean with benzene, thinner alcohol
or other such solvents
- Do not hit or drop cartridge
- Do not attempt
to disassemble
At first glance you'll see no mention of what system this cart should be played on, but under
the view of a microscope you
can read extremely tiny print that offers more details.
