cheetahmen 2

Cheetahmen 2 came packed in leftover Action 52 carts and sold for $200 bucks back in the 1990. Needless to say, few were sold. This game is rated a 9 in the Digital Press Collectors Guide and is one of the rarest NES games out there. It was produced by Active Enterprises in 1992. This unlicensed game had a very short shelf life and was only available in limited areas.  Being as Cheetahmen 2 is probably the shittiest game ever made, it's limited availability was probably a blessing in disguise.

I can't help but pity the pour souls who bought this game when it was first released. Cheetahmen 2 is borderline unplayable. If you told me this game was programmed over a weekend by a couple of drunk college kids I'd believe it. The game play is atrocious. The lack of a duck movement makes avoiding some enemies nearly impossible. I'm told there are three levels in this game, but I can't get past the first one so I guess I'll never know.

Cheetahmen 2 is the embodiment of every thing ugly in this world. I believe a viewer email I received sums it up perfectly:

I wouldn't pay a dollar for the cartridge, let alone $200. The game's buggy as hell, has shitty controls, and isn't even COMPLETED. There's no ending, the levels are incorrectly labeled (they stop counting at level 3), and at the end of level 4 nothing happens after you defeat the boss.
