<center>: nwc cart :</center><P>

<img src="NEScart.Jpg" ALT="NWC cart" align="left" border=1 bordercolor="black"><br>
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the crown jewel of NES collecting, the Nintendo World Championship cart. Although this game can be had, it comes with a very steep price
tags, upwards of $1,000. The Nintendo World Championship carts were produced for the NWC tournament Nintendo
held in the early 90's. Details on the actual number produced are not clear, but it's believed between 25 and 50 gold plated carts were
made and awarded to NWC finalists, and as many as 500 grey carts were produced
as prizes for a Nintendo Power contest.

<P>
The NWC cart features "hacks" of three mega popular games. Super Mario Bros., Rad Racer, and Tetris. When you began play a
clock starts counting down, and you gain points through all three games. In the SMB game you can get as many points as you want before you
collect fifty coins, at that time you will be transported to Rad Racer, where a
race ensues. Then it's on to Tetris, which you play until time runs out.

<P>
The Nintendo World Championships was held by Nintendo in 1990. Semi-final tournaments were held all over the country at different large locations. I myself competed in the NWC at a Sea World in San Antonio, TX when I was
in the 2nd grade. I came in 4th there. The winner of the Sea World tournament would progress in the tournament and attempt to beat other winners of other tournaments and so on, until a winner was declared.

receiving prize money and other kickbacks Thor also got to do some ads for Camerica: <B>
"Go for the gold...Racing competition tense action, challenging adventure and just great fun are available in setting new standards in game play"</b>
