In my opinion, Kid Icarus is one of the best games on the NES. It combined mythical gods with humorous enemies so well. Everything about Kid Icarus is enjoyable. This is a platform similar to Metroid. The object of Kid Icarus is to jump from surface to surface collecting hearts to buy better weapons with, while trying to reach the very top to proceed to the next level. Of course no game is perfect. It almost seems like the programmers of Kid Icarus were just plain lazy. If you press down at almost any time during this game, you will fall through the platform to your death. This is really, really annoying since you have to start all the way back at the bottom. A small price to pay for such a great game though. I highly reccomend it.

The control is perfect except for the above mentioned falling through the platforms.
This isn't a big problem if you are careful, but it is frusterating when you slip up.
Gameplay: 100 %
A classic. The gameplay is perfect platform action. Zeus himself couldn't have made a better game.
Overall: 90%
This game is great. I love every aspect of it. I'd reccomend buying it if you can find a copy. They aren't that rare.
