. : Startropics : .

Last week Mike got a letter from his Uncle asking him to come to his laboratory on C-Island. So Mike, being a loving nephew, travels to the island to meet his uncle, but when he arrives he finds that his Uncle Jones had been kidnapped by aliens (!). The plot only thickens.

The graphics in this game are above par copared to most anything else you might see on the NES. The towns are full of objects and people, making it actually seem like someone might live there. Plus all the characters in the game are animated, so there is constant motion on screen, something you didn't see alot of in 1990. Startropic's music is timeless. There are several different tunes that scream STARTROPICS whenever you hear them. They were mastered well. The sound effects aren't bad either, as they never got on my nerves, and that's all I ask of them. If there is one thing wrong with this game, it's the control. Controlling Mike is harder than hell. It's weird how they could get everything sooo right except the most important aspect.
Despite the horrible control, this game still kicks ass. If you don't have it yet you should definetly buy it NOW!
